Old Goals Achieved
The work of the Milton Chamber is ongoing. While many of our old goals have been fully or partially achieved, there is still much to do to improve the business climate in the community.
The Chamber has worked with town officials and local business owners to upgrade the facades in East Milton, to revitalize Milton Village and to bring a business-like planning element to town government.
A million dollars in planning money for the East Milton area has been allocated by the federal government through the auspices of Congressman Stephen F. Lynch. The money is being handled by Mass Highway but its purpose was restricted in the federal appropriation.
The Chamber worked with the town to change the MWRA plan for digging up Adams Street in East Milton as new water pipes replace an old and deteriorating main.
